Food for Thought

It is so easy to fall into a self doubt trap when people aren’t able to communicate and connect with us in the way we need, and hard not to internalize their silence as a reflection on your worth. You wonder what you did wrong or what is wrong about you. I guess we have all been there at least once,

I have been there myself more than once. But just stop entertaining the idea of not being worthy, it will take you right back to square one and that’s not where you want to be! The way other people operate is not about you, it’s about them.

More often that not, people are so caught up in their own lives that the thought of asking someone else how they’re doing doesn’t even cross their mind. And that’s OKay.

That is by no means evidence of some fundamental failing on your part. It doesn’t make you less lovable or not worth loving, it just means that those people are not very good at looking beyond their own world. The fact that you are — that despite your own responsibilities, anxiety and struggles, you have the ability to be thoughtful and compassionate — is not a sign of weakness, it is a strength and a sign you have grown and expanded your boundaries.

You are not meant to change who you are, or change who they are; you are meant to find people who have mastered the ability to share their love and light with others. It is all about how far we have come.

Life is a hard hat zone, the path is always construction and it has no way back. And like a pilot navigating a plane from one place to the next, you set de route destination before take-off, but gotta keep adjusting the course along the way to stay on track. "If you want to learn, you gotta play the game" (and fly that plane).
